We offset the emissions generated by our business activities through climate protection projects. How does it work?
Calculation of CO₂ Emissions
In collaboration with ClimatePartner, we measure our company’s carbon emissions and calculate our Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF). This includes the raw materials, packaging, and logistics associated with our products.
The annual analysis and update of our carbon assessment allow us to implement and monitor measures through which we can further avoid and reduce CO₂ emissions.
Reducing Our Carbon Emissions
Whenever possible, we avoid and reduce our carbon emissions. For example, we prioritize shipping our products by sea and, above all, by rail in order to limit carbon emissions.
Offsetting CO₂ Emissions
We offset all unavoidable emissions by supporting a certified carbon offset project, making us a carbon-neutral company with carbon-neutral products.
We have chosen to support an organization that fights plastic pollution in the oceans.
Our Carbon Offset Project
To offset our carbon emissions, we support the organization Plastic Bank, a certified carbon offset project. This initiative:
- Fights plastic pollution in our oceans
- Encourages the development of recycling ecosystems worldwide
- Promotes responsible economic development in disadvantaged communities

CO₂ Emissions Offset for Our Takesumi Bamboo Charcoal
The carbon emissions generated by the production and transport of our Takesumi activated charcoal are offset through a donation to the Plastic Bank project.
